After watching the movie Grease and the television show Fame, Saudia was struck with an the infectious desire to perform. At the age of 6 years old , she asked if she could join the local Girl Scout Troop; then quickly became the youngest member to perform the Call to Honor. Her artistic abilities were nurtured early on: she eagerly began her dance training at age 7. By the age of 12, her desire to act blossomed and led to her first role in A Christmas Carol. Her first “big" role was as Raynell in the August Wilson play Fences.

Determined to stay on the theater track, Saudia auditioned for the famed Arts Magnet High School in Dallas. Accepted into both the theater and dance department; she chose dance. Upon graduation, Saudia was the first student to receive the Woody McGriff award: an award for her excellence and dedication to dance. Consequently, she also earned a dance scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin, and later a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Dance. After taking additional acting classes and working in the local theater & film scenes in both Dallas and Austin, she felt it was time to make the leap to Los Angeles.

Now an accomplished actress in Los Angeles, she relishes every opportunity to show her range and passion as artist, and is dedicated to challenging herself as an actress. She continues to hone her acting skills by working with Yale-trained coach Gregory Berger-Sobeck. Her credits include mainstream films such as The New Guy, several independent films, Sundance-recognized shorts such as Pretty Dead Girl, national commercials (Jack In the Box, Sunny D, U.S Army, Verizon) & countless print campaigns. She also continues to dance, and has recently added the art of bellydance to her repertoire of ballet, modern, jazz, and hip-hop techniques.

Since 2007, she has been one of the founding members of the the sketch comedy troupe, Slow Children Crossing. SCC has performed their unique brand of "inappropriate humor for all", to sold-out audiences at the popular Comedy Central workspace, notable comedy festivals and venues, both nationally & internationally. Saudia enjoys the opportunity to collaborate as a writer, producer and comedic performer with the other members of SCC.

In her spare time, you'll find Saudia embarking on her next travel destination, writing poetry, working on her first children's book, practicing some of her bellydance moves., wine tasting, eating just about any dessert imaginable, or singing her favorite songs with friends at one of her favorite karaoke spots.

Above all, Saudia looks forward to blazing her own path with an extraordinary body of work of that she can be proud of.
